1Password 8 not working in some Mac user accounts -- AGAIN :-(

Dear 1Password Support,

Evidently v8.9.4 did not fix the issue in which 1Password wouldn't open in some Mac user accounts, which I raised with you around August 25, 2022.

If you'll recall, you folks kindly emailed me this command line fix (to be executed in Terminal.app):

cd /Applications/1Password.app/Contents/Frameworks/Electron\ Framework.framework
sudo chmod -h 755 ./Electron\ Framework ./Helpers ./Libraries ./Resources
cd Versions
sudo chmod -h 755 ./Current

which fixed it. TA-DA!

But, unfortunately, it's busted in 8.9.4 again: same symptoms, same error messages.

Good news: the fix (above) works -- again.

A minor nuisance, really, but t'would be swell if it could be fixed, permanently, in the next release.

    I have this same issue with Big Sur 11.7 and 1P 8.9.4 on an Intel MacBook Pro. I can open 1Password desktop ok but not my wife from her account. The problem does not occur on a new M1 MacBook Pro.

    Changed permissions as in the instructions above and it now works.

    This is happening again on our older MacBook Pro running Big Sur (latest version for this machine). Works on my account but not on my wife's account. 1Password 8 just quits on her account. On Big Sur 11.7.2.
    Tried the chmod commands above without success for her account.

    Thinking of reverting back to version 7 which was working well.
    Later reverted to version 7 and works fine.
