Quick Access not very quick

Filling my password for an app looks like this:

  • Click on the 1Password toolbar icon drops down a menu.
  • Click to choose "Quick Access" from the menu.
  • Type in search for the app and my account comes up.

    • I have to ignore the most prominent button that says "open in website", because it's not a website - it's an app.
    • I also can't click on the text that says "Copy password" because it's just a label not a button (why????)
  • Instead Click on the 3-dot menu

  • Finally click on "Copy password".
    So many clicks!

Compare this with 1Password7 mini:

  • Click on toolbar icon
  • Type app name
  • Click on "copy"

I am boggled at how this experience is getting worse over time.

  • Hello @emclain! 👋

You can speed up your workflow by having Quick Access launch immediately when clicking on the menubar icon:

    1. Open and unlock 1Password for Mac.
    2. Click on 1Password next to the  in the menu bar.
    3. Click on Preferences.
    4. Change "Click the icon to:" to "Show Quick Access".

You can also use the keyboard shortcut Shift-Command-Space bar to open Quick Access from inside of any app. Once Quick Access is open, search for an item and then press Shift‑Command‑C to copy the password without having to open the item's details first.

    I hope that helps! 😊
