How to get email from mail.app to 1P/Software License?

It used to be that I could drag an email from mail.app onto an entry in 1P and the email would attach to the entry in question. It appears this no longer works. After scanning the forum it appears that the process has to be drag the email onto the desktop and use the "Attach File" to attach the email on the desktop to the entry in 1P. Is that correct?
In summary we've gone from 1 drag action to 1 drag action and 4 clicks.
I suspect I'm missing something so I'd appreciate any help with how to accomplish getting mail from mail.app into 1P.

Note: In this particular case I'm trying to attach email purchase confirmations to an email license entry.

    Hello @dorcih! 👋

    1Password 8 currently doesn't support adding files to an item using drag and drop. I've forwarded your request for this feature to our product team so that they're aware that this is something that you'd like to see added to 1Password 8 in the future.

    In the meantime, as you mentioned, you can add a file by following these steps:

    1. Open and unlock 1Password 8.
    2. Edit an item.
    3. Click add more.
    4. Click Attach a file.
    5. Select the file and click Open.
    6. Save the item.
