I used to ber able to see not only when I modified my passwords, but also WHAT THEY WERE. What happened to the feature on desktop and iOS that allowed me to see my previous passwords? Thanks

  • Hello @rswc90! 👋

To see a previous password for an item in the 1Password for Mac app you can do the following:

    1. Open and unlock 1Password for Mac.
    2. Click on the item that you wish to view.
    3. Hover over the password field.
    4. Click on the down arrow on the right of the password field.
    5. Click View password history.

    And in 1Password for iOS:

    1. Open and unlock 1Password for iOS.
    2. Tap on the item that you wish to view.
    3. Tap and hold on the password field.
    4. Tap View password history.

You will only see the View password history option if there are previous passwords.

You can also restore previous versions of your items on 1Password.com: View and restore previous versions of items

wow -- thanks! I was searching and searching because a site would not allow me to log in. I assumed that my password was incorrect and wanted to see what the previous password was. I couldn't find the history so I changed the password. I JUST received a note from the site that THEY were having difficulties -- Oh well, yet another password to save! Thanks for the quick reply!
