Reconfiguring Mac and having trouble setting up iCloud File Vault

I had to reconfigure my MacBook today and reinstall everything.

My primary vault is on iCloud and I THOUGHT I was using 1Password 8 — although now I am wondering if I was.

I have installed 1Password 7 (which is the latest on the App Store) but I am not getting autofill on Chrome — which I had yesterday.

  1. If I am using iCloud vs 1Password native sync what is the lates version of 1Password I can use?
  2. how do I get autofill to work in Chrome? Now I can just copy and paste usernames and passwords, which is frustrating.

    1Password 8 does not support iCloud sync or Primary vaults. For that you would need to use 1Password 7. 7.9.6 is the latest version. Check Chrome for an update. There was one recently. Once that's done try the following.

    Quit 1Password completely using our helper in the menu bar.

    1. Look for our helper in the menu bar near the WiFi indicator and the clock. Right-click (Option-click) on the helper and select quit 1Password completely.
    2. Quit your browser.
    3. Wait a few seconds and then open 1Password from the Dock or the Applications folder and unlock
    4. Open your browser.
