Changing password in ios safari

When I change passwords in Safari for iOS there does not seem to be a way to save the new PW. Sometimes there is a 1P button at the end of the password field and sometimes there is a button to save the PW but neither works. On the latest app ver since just download and ios is 16.1.2. On my 14 day trial and not impressed so far. Lots of glitches with the iOS apps in particular.

    Welcome to 1Password! I'm sorry that things have been a little bumpy so far but the team and I are here to help. It sounds like 1Password for Safari is having trouble authenticating. Please try the following steps:

    1. Fully close Safari on iOS.
    2. Fully close 1Password on iOS.
    3. Open and unlock the main 1Password app from your home screen.
    4. Open Safari and go to any webpage.
    5. Tap on the AA icon in the address bar.
    6. Tap on 1Password in the menu.
    7. Follow the prompt to unlock 1Password for Safari with your account password.
