Extension Stuck Loading after last update

Regularly when I try to use the extension to fill a login page, it just sits with the loading icon, very frustrating. Eventually I can get it to respond by trying it on different tabs and it requires master password again. Once logged in the extension works on all tabs. This has never been an issue until the last week or two.

Extension Version: 2.5.1
OS Version: Win 10 Pro 22H2 19045.2364
Browser:_ Chrome 108.0.5359.125

    Thanks for messaging us! I'd like to gather some more information about how these tabs are used and how your device is set up with 1Password.

    • Do you leave these tabs open at all times?
    • Do you have the 1Password 8 for Windows app installed and signed in?
    • When signing into the extension, does refreshing the page allow you to use the extension properly?

    yes, these tabs are open for long periods of time
    no, I don't have 1Password installed beyond the chrome extension
    yes, after the sign in, refreshing the page fixes the loading issue.

  • Hey @b3nw,

    If you are not using the 1Password desktop app can you try disabling the following setting and let us know if it improves things:

    1. Right click the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar and choose 'Settings'
    2. Disable 'Integrate with 1Password app'
    3. Test to see if the issue persists.
