Quick Access to unlock a secure usb?

Hi,
I have a USB drive that is encrypted by the Mac OS. When I try to enter my password, sometimes I can open Quick Access, but it has no access to fill in the password. I can copy and paste it into the window, but it's not an automatic entry. Sometimes the program TextExpander won't let 1Password's hot keys work to access Quick Access. If you have a workaround for that it would also help, but that's not as important.

Is there no way for automatic entry of the password? A photo is attached of the window.

Thanks!

Alas, somehow I got it to work. TextExpander has to be shut off, then (eventually) a window opened to add Mac LogIn to my Linked Apps in 1Password, and it seems to now fill in the password. So I think I'm all set. Except for the quitting of the key logging program Text Expander . . .
