Safari extension won't update login
1Password used to easily update logins. In the Safari 16.3 2.8.1 extension Ventura 13.2.1 I would hit new login, and I would get an option to create a new login or update the old one. That is no longer the case. If I hit "new item" in the extension it opens up 1Password in Safari and prompts me to manually enter everything - name, password, etc.
What happened to the option to automatically either update or create a login without having to open a whole web page and fill everything manually?

Hey @dmoor,
When you are on a login or sign up form 1Password should offer to save the details by displaying a prompt beneath the field. You will then be able to hit 'Save in 1Password' and click 'Save' without leaving the browser. Here are some guides on using 1Password in your browser to save items:
- Save and fill passwords in your browser
- Use the password generator to change and strengthen your passwords.
I hope this helps, let us know if you have any questions!

If I click the 1Password icon in, say, the password field all I see are the saved logins for that site. There is no option "Save in 1Password" so I can update the username or password.

Thanks for getting back to me @dmoor, if you are looking to change your password on a website you'll want to follow these steps: https://support.1password.com/generate-website-password/#change-your-password-in-your-browser.
If you want to save a different/additional login to the one being suggested you can start typing into the field to see the 'Save in 1Password' prompt or you can manually type in the details and then right click and choose 'Save Login' to save it.
Let me know how you get on!
