I want to print a hard copy of all my passwords, how?
In response to a previous question from another community member, I understand that 1Password team does not "recommend" printing out a hard copy of Passwords stored in our online account.
But that was not the question.
There are legitimate reasons for such a printout . . . at present my online account only provides for two export options, neither of which result in a satisfactory list of URLS, PWs and related notes that I can print out in a reasonable fashion.
PLEASE provide some ability to print out our account information. I understand that exported data is not encrypted, and I would understand if the company wants to add all kinds of alternative caveats about taking our information offline to print it . . . but please show some better customer service here. Thank you.

If you use the option to output your data to a .CSV file, you can use a spreadsheet application (like Excel) to create a file that you can print. The .CSV file contains the title, URL, username, passwords and notes. Attachments are not included. There are some extra fields included in the .CSV, but those can be ignored. The .CSV data can be organized and manipulated to match your requirements.

Hi @TBS, thanks for reaching out! As @JohnInCA mentions (thanks for the assist!), at the moment the best way to achieve this is to use the 1Password desktop app to export your data to CSV, then adjust this in a spreadsheet application in order to create a printable copy of your data.
However, if this doesn't meet your needs, I would be happy to file a feature request on your behalf. Could you tell me a little more about your particular use case for wanting a printed copy of your data? Do you have any additional suggestions for ways you'd like to see this feature work - for example would you like for all item types and field types to be included in the printout, or would this be for logins/passwords specifically?

Hi Gem, thanks for your reply. I would like to be able to print out a hard copy of my items in a WORD document that (I understand will not be encrypted when it is exported from 1Password, downloaded to my laptop, sent to my home printer and then DELETED from my laptop all while I have my backup apps temporarily PAUSED to do so. I would like to be able to do this project at least once a year. I have been used to doing this when I was on Last Pass and it is the easiest way I can be sure that my spouse and my other trusted family members would be able to continue to manage our affairs if something were to happen to me (hospitalization or worse). Or just to have it in case YOU GUYS go belly up for some reason. I will tell you that having used Last Pass so easily for so many years and having to get off that site and trying to get used to 1Password has been . . . traumatic is too dramatic a term but nearly so. You get my point. I do NOT want to have to learn a new program (the one currently offered by 1Password besides CSV) . . . the CSV option does not allow me to sort the items between those current and those that are archived, not to put them in usable format . . . I can't be the first person to ask for this. I understand that you all think that having access to the Emergency sheet is sufficient, but it is not. I am not a luddite, just a retired attorney who is used to belts-and-suspenders solutions that should be easier than I have found this to be. Please HELP. Thank you.
PS Just re read your message and I would like to be able to print out URLs, IDs, PWs and NOTES for ALL of my saved items. I don't need a column saying TRUE/ FALSE to identify archived items, they could be saved in a separate area AFTER the active, currently used items. Looking forward to your easy solution . . . TBS1 -
I also recently came to 1Password from Lastpass. The data export function in Lastpass creates a CSV file just like the one created by 1Password. Both the LP and 1P CSV files can be opened in a spreadsheet application and manipulated to contain only the data you want included. In both cases, it means deleting the columns you don't want to save--very easy to do. Once you format the data as you like it, you can export from the spreadsheet to a PDF (which is preferable to a Word doc because it can't be edited). Alternately, you could copy and paste the spreadsheet data into a Word doc, but the formatting might not be as useful as in the PDF. The PDF can easily be printed, just a Word doc can.
The 1P 1pux file is in a format that mere mortals can't understand or use. It is meant for moving data from one 1P account to another:
https://support.1password.com/1pux-format/Try to be a little patient with 1Password. In the end, it does just what Lastpass does, just a little differently (and better, in my opinion). By the way, I'd suggest you install the desktop app and the browser extension, not just one or the other.

Hi @TBS,
We appreciate your reply and letting us know about your use case.
As discussed throughout this thread, it's not recommended to keep an unencrypted or a hard copy of your passwords. Our guide to, Implement a recovery plan for your family goes into detail about our recommended steps you can take to ensure you or your family can access your account in case of an emergency.
For the time being, managing your logins and passwords via .CSV export and printing is the best solution. This guide about .CSV exports provides details about what fields are present in the export.
While I can't make any promises about a printing feature from directly within the 1Password apps, I've passed your comments along to our Product team. Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

I completely agree with the TBS post on March 31st, PLEASE give us the features he suggested/identified.
Allow us to decide what level of risk we wish to assume re making and securely storing a hard copy.
Thank you1
