Error on startup: There is no application set to open the URL x-onepassword4://quit
Starting up the machine I get this error every time.
There is no application set to open the URL x-onepassword4://quit
Even pointing it to open 1pw v8, I still get the same fail.
I use firefox. Uninstalled and reinstalled the FF plugin.
I even installed the Safari plugin, thinking that might help.
Mac latest, FF latest, 1pass latest (not beta).
How do I fix this ?
1Password Version: 8.10.3

OS Version: 13.3
Browser:_ Firefox

Hello @sknaffla! 👋
I'm sorry that you're receiving an error message when you start your Mac. It's possible that you have a remnant of an older version of 1Password still installed on your Mac. So that I can investigate further, I'd like to ask for a diagnostics report:
- Get the 1Password troubleshooting utility. The download is a .zip file. If it’s not automatically uncompressed, double-click it to uncompress it.
- Double-click the 1PasswordTroubleshooting app.
- Click Open when asked if you’re sure you want to open it.
- Click Create Report. It may take a moment.
- Click Show Report in Finder.
- Attach the 1PasswordDiagnostics .zip file directly to your reply.
Attach the 1PasswordDiagnostics .zip file to an email message addressed to
support+forum@1password.com
.With your email please include:
- A link to this thread: https://1password.community/discussion/139162/error-on-startup-there-is-no-application-set-to-open-the-url-x-onepassword4-quit#latest
- Your forum username:

- Please do not post your diagnostic report to the forum. This is for your privacy and security.
The report will be in zip format. Please send the entire file.
You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!
