Can I turn off smart passwords

Today I was trying to create a login and discovered “Smart Passwords”. They properly detected the password length but nothing else about the password and I was not able to create a login using them. I would change to random but that too did not work, so I deduce it was the website not 1Password. But ….every time I attempted to use 1Password to see if I could debug the issue, it defaulted to using Smart Password. I could not get it to change the default.

Is there some way to do this ?

I think you're looking for the following. You posted in the Mac side of things but I believe you're seeing this in the browser. No worries, just wanting to clarify.

    1. Open the 1Password in the browser pop-up.
    2. Click the hamburger the 3 horizontal lines.
    3. Click password generator.
    4. Change the recipe from Smart password to something else.
    5. Enable the setting for use as default for suggestions.
    6. Close

If you're having trouble with a specific site please let us know. Smart passwords are very often a great solution in my opinion but there are hiccups with some sites. Please let us know how you fare.
