1password requires two password entries to access a site.
I log into 1password. I select an item and open it. The item’s “empty” login window appears. I click 1pass icon. I am directed to log into 1pass again. What a pain. What device are you using: iOS 16.3.1 Is your device rooted: Not applicable? Have you tried rebooting: yes.

Hello @Russw! 👋
I'm sorry that you're being prompted to unlock 1Password more often than you would expect. The main 1Password app and the 1Password extension for Safari unlock separately. You can unlock both more conveniently by enabling Touch ID or Face ID unlock so that you don't have to type in your account password each time:
- Use Face ID to unlock 1Password on your iPhone or iPad Pro
- Use Touch ID to unlock 1Password on your iPhone or iPad
You can also reduce how often you're prompted to unlock the extension by following these steps:
- Open and unlock the main 1Password app.
- Tap the icon for your account or collection at the top left and choose Settings. (If you’re using an iPad, tap your account or collection at the top of the sidebar.)
- Tap Safari Extension.
- Change "Reauthorize After" to the desired period of time.
I hope that helps! 🙂
-Dave
