After duplicating entries to a second 1password account, many of the attached files are disappearing
After duplicating all the entries that existed in an existing 1password source account into a new, 1password target account, I am finding that many of the attached files in the target account are disappearing. I've been attempting to duplicate the entries (that have files missing) from the source account back to the target account, but the more I search in the target account, it seems I find more and more entries in the target account with missing files. The missing file names are there in the target account, just not the actual files. Does this have something to do with permissions not behaving when I duplicated all the entries in the source account into the target account?

This sounds like the items are not attached but more related items. If that's true you'll need to move the related item over too and then relink the two together. I think of related items as shortcuts saved in an item that point to the original. They will get broken when moving between account for example.
Attached items/documents etc. reside entirely within the item. They will move entirely with the item even if moved between accounts.
Do you see the name related item in your originals?

The files are DEFINITELY ATTACHED as I delete the original files after they were attached to the entry in the SOURCE 1password account. None of the 'File Missing' disappearance of files is occurring within the SOURCE 1password account, but the disappearance of files is a constant occurrence in the TARGET 1password account. There is NO doubt that this behavior occurs ONLY in the TARGET 1password account; the attached files in the SOURCE 1password account remain untouched and unaffected. The question I have is this: Is there a permissions issue when 1password entries with attached files are duplicated between 1password accounts that renders the attached files impermissible within the TARGET 1password account. This is only getting worse as I attempt to re-duplicate the affected entries with attached files. In all cases in the TARGET 1password account, the name of the missing file(s) still appears in the affected entry in the TARGET 1password, but the phrase 'File Missing' appears beneath the name of the attached file in the TARGET 1password account.

If I cannot remedy the 'File Missing' behavior in the TARGET 1password account, the TARGET 1password account will become essentially useless and I will need to delete both the TARGET 1password account along with the TARGET 1password subscription, scuttling my attempt to duplicate all of my 1password entries from the SOURCE 1password account to the TARGET 1password accounts.

Do you have a screenshot of what you see? Do you see the term
related items
in the original item? Your description aligns very much with a related item moved between vaults or accounts/regions.If we need to look deeper into your account(s) we would need to have you write in as we do not have access to account details here in the community. Please email us using

Thank you for your question. No, I do NOT see anything about any related items in the original item.

The 'File Missing' saga continues after several days with no suggestions or insight from 1password as to what is happening. I've already deleted my entire target (second) 1password account where files were disappearing as missing with abandon. Now the 'File Missing' phenomena is appearing in my primary 1password account where I have NO backup or duplicate entries. I also have no idea where else the 'File(s) (may be) Missing' as I have hundreds of entries to keep track of such a phenomena.
