The data partition on my Mac was corrupted and I had to recover from back up. Now when attempting to open 1P I get the following:
You've used a newer version of
1Password on this device.
Update to the latest version to
keep using 1Password. Contact
support@lpassword.com if you
need help.I have deleted the app and reinstalled and I get the same thing. I have reached out to 1P but they have not responded and I would prefer to get back up and running ASAP. I would appreciate any help. Thank you.

I have the same issue. What I have just discovered is I am getting the error message and am unable to access 1Password when using Firefox. However, I switched to Safari, and other than asking me to fill in my password several times, it is working fine with this browser.
Using Firefox - 112.0.2 (64-bit)

I am surprised how long this has persisted without a proper solution. I had to do the workaround (much earlier in thread) again recently

Thanks that is what I did six weeks ago and it works. The fact that you still need people to send in logs implies it is more difficult to solve than you thought?

We still ask for a diagnostics report because, once 1Password runs into this situation, there are a few different paths forward to fix the issue depending on the exact nature of the problem. The diagnostics report gives our support team the information that they need to identify the right path to get a customer back to a working state.
Our developers have identified the root cause of the issue and are working on improvements so that it doesn't occur in the first place. ๐
If you do run into the issue again then please follow the instructions in the comment that I posted earlier in the thread: https://1password.community/discussion/comment/683383/#Comment_683383
