Date format does not match locale settings
I'm not sure where to ask this question. I'm also not sure it has been asked before. I search for date format but found many outdated issues. The closest I found was this (currently closed) discussion.
I am currently experiencing this problem in both my Mac app and my iOS app. The settings for language are to "Use system defaults". However, on my Mac and phone the format in the 1Password apps is the US format, while my system is set to use the format that the rest of the world uses. How, can I change this? This is an issue because I've noticed that I sometimes copy the wrong date because there's no way to know the order if its mm/dd
or dd/mm
when both dd and mm
are < 13
.
It seems that the US format is the default. Why not have the non-ambiguous yyyy-mm-dd
as the default?
PS. I filled in the Mac info because I posted this in the Mac forum but my iOS version is: 16.3.1 and 1Password for iOS version is: 8.10.4
1Password Version: 1Password for Mac 8.10.4 (81004032)
Extension Version: n/a
OS Version: macOS 13.3.1 (22E261)
Browser:_ n/a

Hello @RMNL! 👋
Thank you for reporting the issue. Our developers are aware of an issue where dates are not being properly localized according to a device's system settings and are investigating. We hope to fix the issue with a future update to 1Password. I'm sorry for the frustration.

Thank you for your feedback. Our developers have indeed already released some fixes regarding date localization and they are aware that more work still has to be done. Keep your eye on our release notes for future updates: 1Password Releases
