  • @akshayvijapur

The original thread was over 3 months old. Can you elaborate on the issue you're experiencing? What version of 1Password are you using? Please be specific.

@akshayvijapur do the edits appear in your account when you sign in at 1Password.com? We ask that to determine if the issue is with the desktop app or if it is with the extension.

Additionally, do you run into any other issues with the extension? For example, do you get error messages when you try to save a login or generate a password?

After the latest Monterey update, the Safari extension no longer loads in Safari, even after attempting to download and reinstall. It put the 1PW for Safari in the applications folder, but not in the extensions for Safari. Doesn't even show up Safari preferences--> extensions, so cannot even disable/enable it. Is there a manual way to load this?

  • Hi @donny6832

In 1Password, click the Help menu > Troubleshooting > Fix Missing Safari Extension.

It seems that this problem only happened in macOS Monterey. It looks like whatever caused the problem was fixed in macOS Ventura.

well, that's good for Ventura users, but some of us need to wait a while yet to go to Ventura. Any plans to fix 1PW in Monterey?

1Password is impacted by an issue in macOS in this case. The shortcut in the Help menu is there as a workaround for that macOS bug. We didn't (and couldn't) make any changes to 1Password which would affect this behaviour, and it seems that Apple fixed the root cause when they released macOS Ventura.
