Offline Use V8 compared to V7

Hi,
I currently use V7 with a standalone vault. One of the main reasons for this is to have access to my data when Offline but retaining the ability to sync when back online.
I can't find very little info on using the V8 app when an internet connection is unavailable, and how this works.

    1Password 8 keeps a local copy of your data that is accessible even if you're completely offline. And when you do reconnect to the internet, 1Password 8 will make sure that any changes made are backed up to your 1Password account and then made available on the rest of your devices.
