Find entries with an exact match for an email address.

I want to find all entries that contain an exact email address. I cannot find a way to do this with my current version (1Password for Mac 8.10.6).

I have 2 email addresses that are "firstname.lastname@domain.com" and "lastname.firstname@domain.com".
I now wanted to find all entries that use one of these email addresses, but whenever I input that email address, the search will return entries for both email addresses. Which means that for this case the search doesn't help me at all and I need to go through all my entries manually.

I have tried using quotes and googled if the current 1Password has any search-options. It seems like there was an advanced search in the past, but I cannot access it anymore.

https://support.1password.com/search-1password/ shows a way to find an item in the current list only (Option-Command-F) but doing this acutally crashes my 1Password.

Is there currently a way to find all entries that contain an exact email address?

    Hello @rolfboom! 👋

I'm sorry that you're running into trouble while searching for an email address. The cause of the issue here is likely a known issue in 1Password 8's search that our developers are investigating. A search term with a symbol in it (such as a period) will be broken into components and then 1Password 8 will display results for each component rather than for the search term as a whole. Our developers are looking into this and I've added your report to our internal work item for the issue.

shows a way to find an item in the current list only (Option-Command-F) but doing this acutally crashes my 1Password.

That definitely doesn't sound right. Can you please reproduce the crash one more time and then I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:

    Sending Diagnostics Reports (Mac)

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com.

    With your email please include:

The report will be in zip format. Please send the entire file.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!

Hey @Dave_1P , thanks for the answer! I guess I will wait then and look forward to future improvements to the search. 😊

About the crashing, I noticed that it doesn't really crash the app, but all UI elements dissappear. Which in the end leads to the same result for me (having to close and reopen the app).
I have sent the diagnostics report as instructed, including some descriptions and a screen recording (no private information recorded).
    Here's the support ID I received: [#RNH-41463-797]

    Best regards,
    Rolf
