Hi, I just set up an app-specific password for Outlook on the iCloud. Where/how should I set up this password within 1Password in order for it to generate next time I try to make a change in Outlook?

  • Hi there @Basalt

You have a couple of options here, with considerations for each:

    1. Add another password field to your existing iCloud Login item and label it as Outlook app-specific or similar. Then, if you need it, you know that your iCloud Login has your regular password and your app-specific password in the same place. You can find your iCloud item, click the app-specific password to copy it, and paste it into the right place in Outlook if you need it.

    2. Set up a separate Login item for "iCloud (in Outlook)" or similar, keeping the username the same as your usual iCloud Login, and setting the app-specific password as the main password field. This does mean you would have two items for iCloud and not one, but that may be preferable.

Each method has its pros and cons, but you can try whatever works for you – there's no right or wrong way to do this! :)

Let me know if you have any questions or need any help.
