Problem with Login to 1PW 8 running Ventura 13.4
I just re-installed 1PW v8.10.7 on my mac running Ventura 13.4. After entering my master PW and the window opening and properly displaying all my entries, when I close the window (I do not quit the app), the app locks and I have to login again. This happens repeatedly. I have tried restarting the app, and restarting the computer with no change. I have set 1PW in the settings to logout after 1 hr. I also have the 1PW extension running in my Edge browser (v114.0.1823.37) which does the same thing. When I used these 2 together previously (1PW and Edge), when I logged in on the desktop, it also logged me in on the browser. That no longer happens; I have to log in separately to each app. The browser extension also makes me sign in twice before it will open. This is getting annoying. I'd appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks a bunch!

Please try the following and let us know how you fare.
- Turn off - 1Password > Preferences (Settings) > Browser: Connect with 1Password in the browser
- Right-click on the browser toolbar icon, selecting Settings (General Tab) and then disable Integrate with 1Password app.
- Quit the browser completely! A full quit, not a close or minimize to the dock.
- Quit 1Password. Look for our helper in the menu bar and then right-click and select quit.
- Wait a few seconds and then open 1Password from the Dock or the Applications folder and unlock.
- Turn On - 1Password > Preferences (Settings) > Browser: Connect with 1Password in the browser
- Open your browser.
- Right-click on the browser toolbar icon, selecting Settings (General Tab) and then enable Integrate with 1Password app.

ag_tommy: Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question...! Your process worked for me and I am sincerely grateful! Can you tell me if it is normal behavior for Mac 1PW to lock when it is unlocked and the red "close window" dot in the upper left corner of the window is clicked? That is happening now to me and it had not previously. Prior to this reinstallation I could click that dot when unlocked and it would close the window and just "pause" until I clicked the icon again in my dock. As long then as I was within my set time to stay open in my settings, the window would then reopen unlocked. That no longer is the case for me. Now, clicking the red button locks the app. I now have to click the yellow button to minimize the window for it to remain unlocked. I can retrain myself , of course, but I have been used to clicking the red for a long time. Thanks again for your kindness and help!

I'm happy that Tommy's suggestion helped. The latest version of 1Password 8 fixes a bug where, when the menu bar icon is disabled, 1Password wouldn't immediately close after the user closed the main window. You can have 1Password continue to run in the background (and stay unlocked until your auto-lock settings kick in) by following these steps:
- Open and unlock 1Password for Mac.
- Click on 1Password next to the in the menu bar.
- Click on Settings.
- Click on General.
- Turn "Keep 1Password in the menu bar" on.
Let me know if that doesn't work.
