Quick Access opening on wrong space

When triggering quick access while in one of my many spaces, it no longer opens up on the space I am on, but on a different space altogether. Then I need to check all my spaces to try and find the quick access window.
Has been broken for a few versions now.

1Password Version: 8.10.7
Extension Version: 2.11.0
OS Version: 13.4

  • Hi @jtrott

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulty with Quick Access opening on the wrong desktop. Could you please right click on the 1Password icon in your Dock and navigate to Options > Assign To. What value is checked there? Also, are you using any 3rd party utilities for window/desktop management that may be influencing where windows open?

For context: I use multiple monitors each with multiple desktops. For me, this option is set to "All Desktops." Quick Access is opening where expected.

Please let me know the answers to the above questions. Thank you.

I don't think the multiple desktop option is the same as for multiple spaces. Here is my screenshot showing the lack of those options.

I have been using 1Password in this way for many years across many different versions and this is the first time I have had this issue.

Thanks for the screenshot! I'm following the instructions here:

Work in multiple spaces on Mac - Apple Support

Apple seems to indicate that "spaces" and "desktops" are one in the same. 🤔 On my screen they are called desktops, e.g. "Desktop 1" and "Desktop 2."

Are you using any 3rd party utilities for window/desktop management that may be influencing where windows open, or is this strictly using the built-in macOS Mission Control features? I want to make sure we're talking about the same thing before we get too much further here. 😄

Sorry, forgot to answer that part of your question - I am not and have not any time recently used a third party window or destop management. I have attached a screen shot showing a couple of spaces as they appear at my end in mission control. I create the spaces by running a window in full screen mode, then switch between them with a 4 finger swipe on my trackpad. The app I am using to control remote machines in Jump Desktop and the app remembers which connections were in full screen mode and automatically reopens them that way when I reconnect.
I've also included a screen shot of my desktop and dock settings.

Thank you for the detailed reply. Are you using multiple external monitors by any chance? It's odd that you're missing the "Options > Assign To" setting when you right-click on 1Password from the Dock.

Are you always also running Safari in fullscreen mode? Or just the Jump Desktop windows? If you stop running the Jump Desktop app, and any other apps, in fullscreen mode then does Quick Access open in the correct window?

I am just using my MacBook Pro built in display, no external monitors. I'm only running Jump Desktop in full screen mode.

I just did some testing and when I have a Safari window in full screen, the Quick Access opens correctly in that screen, but still incorrectly for all the other Jump Desktop screens. Adding Teams and Mail full screen into the mix showed Quick Access opening correctly for both Teams and Mail screens, but when I took Safari out of full screen mode, suddenly for both Teams and Mail (and still Jump Desktop) the Quick Access window was opening on the wrong screen again.

Thank you for sharing the results of your testing. So that our team can investigate this further, can you please reproduce Quick Access opening on the wrong space one more time and note the time when the issue occurs. Then, I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:
