1Password 8 autofill not working with Checkpoint Endpoint VPN client on macOS
Hello everyone,
I'm running macOS Ventura and using 1Password 8. I'm having trouble getting 1Password to autofill my login information when using the Checkpoint Endpoint VPN client version 986200118. However, the autofill feature works well with all other apps and browsers on my Mac.
I've already set up 1Password on my Mac and enabled the Accessibility setting, as described in the 1Password support page[1]. I've also tried using the quick access feature, which works very well.
Based on my research, some possible causes of the issue include:
- Compatibility issues between Checkpoint Endpoint VPN client and macOS[2]
- Issues with the Universal Autofill feature on macOS[3]
- Issues with the Autofill Previews setting in 1Password[4]
However, I haven't found any specific solutions that address the issue I'm experiencing.
Has anyone else experienced this issue with Checkpoint Endpoint VPN client on macOS? If so, how did you resolve it? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hello @leofonseca! 👋
I'm sorry that you're having trouble filling your login credentials into the Checkpoint Endpoint VPN app. This is a known issue and our developers have an internal work item open to investigate this further. For the time being, you can copy and paste your username and password from Quick Access into the app. Thank you for reporting the issue.

I'd like to let you know that disabling macOS AMFI allows universal autofill to function smoothly.
I want to emphasize that disabling macOS AMFI is not recommended. I only disabled it temporarily for testing purposes.
I hope this info may help you.
Thanks.

Thanks for following up! I've taken a look and the issue is still in our developer's backlog, I don't have any updates to share at the moment. When the issue is resolved, I've made a note to update this thread. 🙂
