Credit Card Entry - Cannot Remove Date Field
On a credit card entry, I cannot remove a date field ("valid from"). If I delete the month, it comes back when I tab to year. There doesn't appear to be a right-click option or any clickable option to remove it.
Similar on iOS - I can delete the field contents but it comes back when I save.
Interestingly, searching this forum, I find this issue was raised in 2016(!) - I can't believe this hasn't been fixed in 7 years (ref: https://1password.community/discussion/57774/credit-card-entry-cannot-remove-date-field).

I'm sorry that you're running into a bug that prevents you from removing a default date field from a Credit Card item. Our developers are aware of the issue and I've added your report to the internal work item open to investigate this further.
For the time being, as a temporarily workaround, you can remove the field by editing the item after logging in to your 1Password account on 1Password.com (in the browser, not the app)

I ran into the same problem. The staff comment in 2016 apologized for the bug fix not making it into version 6.0.2. We are at version 8.10.13 and this is an app for which we are paying annual subscription fee. Now you are offering a "temporary workaround". What does temporary stand for in your company terminology? Good customer service works differently.

The issue that you're referring to was indeed fixed in the past, for example you can remove data from an expiry date field using 1Password 7. 1Password 8 is a complete rewrite of the app; while the issue currently affecting 1Password 8 looks similar to the issue reported for 1Password 6 back in 2016 it is not the same issue.
I'm sorry for the frustration, I've added your report to the internal work item open for the issue so that the developers are aware of the impact to your workflow.

In my local installation of 1Password 8.10.13 under Mac OS 12.6.8 I can delete month or year with backspace or space but it re-appears as soon as I leave the field.

Correct, this is an issue that is currently open with our development team. Until a fix is released I recommend using the workaround that I mentioned in an earlier post:
For the time being, as a temporarily workaround, you can remove the field by editing the item after logging in to your 1Password account on 1Password.com (in the browser, not the app)
