How to use passkey in 1PW on iOS device
how can I use my passkey in 1Password on iOS device? I created one on Mac and now I'd like to login on my iPad - but no idea how I can login from there?

AFAIK that’s not supported yet.
I would like to know whether this requires iOS 17.

Until Apple suggests they are bringing the 3rd party passkey function to iOS 16, it's currently iOS 17 at this time. They might add it to the latest version of 16 to support older phones. But they also cut off alot of tech at the iPhone 12 range, so they might keep it iOS 17 for some biometrics reasons.

Hi @telephoneman2,
I can confirm that passkeys are currently only available with the beta version of 1Password in your browser. However, we do have plans to bring passkeys to 1Password on mobile devices.
You can get a sneak peak on what's coming with passkeys for iOS on our blog here:
For any 1Password updates, you can check out our releases page which I've linked to below:

I have installed the 1Password beta from TestFlight and the iOS 17 developer beta, but I still can’t use this feature. Is there something else I need to enable, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Hi @JSB10,
Are you referring to using passkeys to sign into online accounts, or unlocking 1Password with a passkey?

Hi @david.m_1P
Yes, like signing into Google or GitHub with a passkey. Thanks

Hi @JSB10,
Sorry for the delayed response. Saving and signing in with passkeys on sites such as Google and GitHub is currently only available with the beta version of the 1Password extension for supported desktop browsers. However, as mentioned earlier in the thread, we do plan on bringing saving and signing in with passkeys to iOS devices.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

@david.m_1P is there any update when we can test 1Password beta with passkeys on iOS 17 beta?

Thanks for following up! We're excited to see third-party passkey support come to the iPhone and iPad with the official release of iOS 17 in the next month.
We're working hard to being passkeys to 1Password for iOS as soon as possible. I don't have any updates to share beyond that for the moment. Stay tuned! 🙂
