2022 Mac Book Air M2 on Ventura: Touch ID unavailable; tried all other discussion posts

Hi there,

This seems to be a fairly common complaint on the forums. I have a new macbook air and the Touch ID option in 1password is grayed out. I've follow the other post recommendations (every permutation) even waiting several hours, but still no luck.

Any updates on this particular issue if the prior recommendations aren't working?

    Apologies to hear that you're encountering trouble enabling unlock 1Password with Touch ID on your new MacBook Air. I have a suspicion of what this problem is and I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:

    Sending Diagnostics Reports (Mac)

    Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com.

    With your email please include:
