"Sign in with" Apple vs Apple ID?

So I'm wondering what the difference is between "Sign in with Apple" and "Sign in with Apple ID"? I noticed there are 2 options for most services in the dropdown selection, such as Discord, Facebook, Twitter etc...I'm not sure of the differences. Some clarity would be appreciated.

Thanks

  • Hey there @Ind3X

You might be seeing two entries if you already have your Apple ID saved in 1Password. The "Apple" entry will be a generic reminder, whereas the "Apple ID" entry most likely points to your existing Apple ID Login item, like this example:

In this case, "Apple" means "This website signs in using an Apple ID", but choosing the wendy@appleseed.com Apple ID item means "This website signs in using this Apple ID".

Hopefully that helps, but let me know if you have any questions or need any other help. :)

    Hi @GreyM1P.

That explanation is as clear as day and fully understood. Makes a lot of sense now. Thank you 🙏🏼
