[Feedback] Require password should have a one-time delay
The "require password every ____" is a great feature, but it always pops up right in the middle of some urgent situation. There should be a "One-Time Delay" functionality with a reminder to revisit. Notification in the menu bar icon? Email?

Hello @kg23! 👋
A "delay" or "skip for now" feature does sound like it could be useful for situations where you're unable to immediately enter your account password. I know of some apps, such as Signal messenger, that do something similar. While I can't promise anything, I've filed a feature request on your behalf to have the product team look into adding such a feature.
Thank you for the suggestion! 🙂

My dream feature would be the "require password every ____" to be on an account basis. If I was required to enter the password on my Mac yesterday, don't make me do it today on my iPhone. If I could combine that with a "skip once" function then a vast majority of the time I would be in the situation where I could put down my phone and open 1Password on my Mac. (I assume it's obvious that typing my Master Password on my Mac is HIGHLY preferred to having to type it on my iPhone.)

Thank you for the suggestion. For now, if you wish, you can turn off the requirement to enter your account password on your iPhone while still requiring it on your Mac:
- Open and unlock 1Password.
- Tap the icon for your account or collection at the top left and choose Settings. (If you’re using an iPad, tap your account or collection at the top of the sidebar.)
- Tap Security.
- Set "Require password" to the desired value.
I hope that helps!

Dave, that workaround is helpful but occasionally risky. 90% of the time I use multiple devices daily so turning off "require" on everything but the Mac would suit my lifestyle. But I fear that could burn me on vacation where even if I carry my laptop I may never open it. I'd hate to come home after 2 weeks and then beat my head on the table for 10 minutes trying to remember that password. :-)
Personally, I think "require password" is an under-appreciated feature. It's hard to remember passwords you don't use regularly. I just hope it can be fine-tuned.
