Upgrade from 1password 7 to 8 with 2 computers - vault/database safe?

I have 1password 7 on two different Mac computers, and want to upgrade to 8. It looks like the data format for the saved items (vault) is different from 7 to 8. If I upgrade on one computer, will the other computer be able to use 1Password 7 until I upgrade it too? Any chance of the second computer corrupting the data if I use it before I upgrade it? I am using the data storage on the 1Password membership server, not local vaults.

    Hello @CowboyBob! 👋

Thank you for the question! With the launch of 1Password 8 for Mac, 1Password 7 for Mac is no longer supported and isn't being actively tested or updated.

Although I'm not aware of issues that might be caused by using 1Password 8 on one Mac and 1Password 7 on another, I recommend that you upgrade all of your Macs to 1Password 8 as soon as possible.

Let me know if you have any questions. 🙂
