Unable to use fingerprint login through the Safari extension

Hello. Quite simply, I'm unable to authenticate in my 1password account using the really convenient fingerprint authentication, if I want to trigger it from Safari.

Understand this has been an issue for a while, but it's definitely an annoyance.

Can you please help?

OS Version: macOS Sonoma 14.0

  • Hello @nunocavaco! 👋

I'm sorry that Touch ID isn't working with 1Password in Safari. Are you able to unlock both the main 1Password desktop app and your Mac using Touch ID? If you can then please try these steps:

    1. Close all open web browsers.
    2. Right-click on the 1Password icon at the top of your Mac's screen and then click Quit. Wait until the icon disappears.
    3. Double-click on 1Password from your Mac's Application folder.
    4. Open your web browser.

Let me know if that fixes the issue. I look forward to hearing from you. 🙂
