Connecting counter using Chrome

in 1Password 3 – 7 for Mac

Chrome Version 28.0.1500.95
Installed the extension from 1Password Preferences->Browsers. It adds the key icon but with a red little circle. When I click on it and enter my password, it tries to connect and counts up and never connects. I also installed the Safari extension and that one works perfectly. I tried removing the extension from Chrome and used 1Password browser tab again and it had the same problem. What's going on? On on a Mac.

    Thanks for taking the time to contact us. I'm sorry that you are having some trouble.

    That means that the Helper cannot connect to the sandboxed browser extension in Chrome. I'm glad it is working well in Safari. That rules out some possibilities. To help us track down the issue more quickly, could you please send us a Diagnostics Report?

    Download the 1Password Troubleshooting utility and follow the instructions to generate the report.

    Then attach the entire file to an email to us: support@ agilebits .com

    Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.
