Is Windows Hello (e.g. biometrics) now supported in Edge extension

Hi,

The Windows Hello (biometrics / fingerprint) authentication was working with my Chrome extension but it doesn't seem to work with the Edge extension. Is that correct, or am I doing something wrong in Edge?
This post seemed to indicate this feature was in the works back in 2021, but couldn't find anything else about it: https://1password.community/discussion/118563/fingerprint-for-windows-extention-chrome-edge

    I'm sorry that the integration between the desktop app and 1Password in Edge isn't working on your PC. So that we can investigate this further, I'd like to ask for some logs from your Windows PC:

    Attach both files to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com.

    With your email please include:

    Thank you for your response. I tried the above instructions but keep getting a "Problem Connecting" when I turn on the integration with the App.

  • Hey @mmoerman,

    1Password in your browser should share the lock state of your 1Password desktop app so if you are able to unlock your app with Windows Hello you should also be able to use it to unlock 1Password in your browser.

    Can you follow these steps in Edge and let me know if you can then unlock with Windows Hello:

    1. Right click the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar and choose Settings
    2. Turn off the setting that says 'Integrate this extension with the 1Password desktop app'
    3. Quit both your browser and your 1Password app.
    4. Open and unlock your 1Password app
    5. Open your browser and repeat steps 1 & 2 to re enable the integration.
