no longer autofilling, unable to 'Quit' 1Password

I just started using 1Password and it was working great. Then suddenly it no longer autofills. I found a help page on 1Password support that said to "quit" the program, but I have searched everywhere and cannot find a "quit" option anywhere. How can I fix the autofill problem? And where is this mysterious "quit" option located?

Quit is from the 1Password help in the menu bar.

  • Hello @bablbbb! 👋

Welcome to 1Password! I'm sorry that filling isn't working properly, can you tell me if you still see the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar?

You can quit 1Password by right-clicking on the 1Password icon in the menu bar at the top of your Mac's screen (not in the browser) and then clicking Quit. Can you try these steps:

    1. Close all open web browsers.
    2. Right-click on the 1Password icon at the top of your Mac's screen and then click Quit. Wait until the icon disappears.
    3. Double-click on 1Password from your Mac's Applications folder.
    4. Open your web browser.

Let me know if that improves things. 🙂
