iPassword 8 installer seems to be stuck

I am upgrading from 1Password 7 to 8. I signed up online, installed the Safari browser extension, and downloaded and ran the 1Password 8 installer for Mac. It launched 1Password 7, and displayed a screen that reads "Waiting for data to be moved. Don't quit this app." Nothing has happened for a very long time. Is there a way to know if there's a problem, or if anything is happening?

    I may have found an answer to my own question, in case anyone else has the same problem:

    In iPassword7, I logged in with my new iPassword credentials, and I was then prompted again to move my data. After doing that, the iPassword 8 installer suddenly came back to life and completed the installation of the new app.
