I entered a password into 1password 7 (not 8) on my iPhone 12, iOS 17.2.1

Ever since then on my 2019 Mac (3.7 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5)

Running:
macOS 13.6.3 (22G436)
1Password for Mac 8.10.23
1Password for Safari 2.19.0
Dropbox v190.4.6383

This error message keeps popping up on my Mac:
The 1Password Database could not be backed up.
The operation couldn’t be completed.
(NSFileHandleOperationException error 1.)

How can I fix this error?

Thanks for you time looking at this,
Curt P

    Hello @Curtpo! 👋

I'm sorry that you're running into an error message on your Mac. The error sounds like something that I would expect to see from 1Password 7, not 1Password 8. Before we proceed I just wanted to advise that, with the launch of 1Password 8, 1Password 7 and legacy sync options such as Dropbox are longer supported.

So that I can better understand the situation, I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac (please use the instructions for 1Password 7, not 1Password 8):

    Sending Diagnostics Reports (Mac)

Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com.

    With your email please include:

    Please send the entire file.

You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!

    -Dave

Thank you for posting the Support ID, one of my colleagues will send you a reply as soon as they've reviewed the diagnostics report.

Since we have a communications channel open via email, I'm closing this thread.
