importing 1password6.8.9 .1pif export in 1password8

Hi, just upgraded to 1password family account and I am trying to import logins from an existing 1password6.8.9 vault. Already done the export and it generated a .1pif folder containing a data.1pif file. When I attempt to load the file to 1password8, it keep getting the error "1password cannot import the data, The file may be the wrong format". Not sure how to proceed next. Can I get some assistance with this please. Thanks

    The easiest method might be to import that data in 1Password 7. You can add your account to it and import that way. Check to ensure the data is on 1Passwword.com and then install 1Password 8 signing into your account and the data will be pulled in from 1Password.com.
