Hi, also stumbled on this post - I have the same problem. Universal Autofill works fine on Firefox, but not on Vivaldi.

I have the most recent version of the two

    Vivaldi: 6.7.3329.17 (Stable channel) (arm64)
    1password: 1Password for Mac 8.10.30 (81030032)

How can I provide more information to make things work?

  • Hello @nomadism! 👋

I'm sorry that Universal Autofill isn't working properly with Vivaldi. Can you tell me a little more about what specifically is happening when you invoke Universal Autofill on a website in Vivaldi and then try to fill a login? Do you receive any error messages? Or does nothing happen at all?

Our developers do have a few different issues open related to the Vivaldi and I want to identify if you might be running into one of these known issues.

Sorry if I'm not using the proper thread. Basically, when I invoke the Universal Autofill, nothing happens at all. I have to click the id/password feed to let 1P work.

Same for me with Vivaldi - even when adding Vivaldi as additional browser within 1PW app

I'm sorry that Universal Autofill isn't working in Vivaldi. I can reproduce the issue on my end and our developers have a work item open to investigate this further. Hopefully this will be fixed in a future update to 1Password.

For the time being, you can use the 1Password extension to fill logins instead: Download 1Password in the browser

Any update for this? After Chrome is removing Manifest v2 extensions, me and a lot others are looking for new browsers, and this is really affecting my workflow with 1P @Dave_1P

  • @JosephTico

I don't have any updates to share at the moment. When the issue is fixed, you'll see it noted in our release notes: 1Password Releases

Have you tried using 1Password in the browser with Vivaldi? You can install it from the Chrome web store: 1Password – Password Manager - Chrome Web Store

Any update on this? Even with the browser extension installed the autofill keyboard shortcut does nothing. Very frustrating.

  • @dndrsn

I'm sorry for the frustration, the issue is still open in our developer's backlog but I don't have any updates to share right now.

For the time being, you can use the filling menu instead of the keyboard shortcut to fill your logins:

Thanks @Dave_1P. I have a very strong preference and muscle memory for using the keyboard shortcut. Hopefully this will be resolved.

  • @dndrsn

I understand. Hopefully this can be fixed in the future, I'll update this thread if I see any news that I can share. 🙂
