Hello @pathfinder76! 👋
I'm sorry that you're running into an issue where you're unable to fill your login credentials into
ring.com
. I've tested the website on my iPhone and I can fill correctly when using Safari by following these steps:- Open Safari.
- Go to
https://ring.com
- Tap Log In.
- Tap on the email field.
- Tap on the "Passwords" prompt above the keyboard (it may look like a key) and then tap your login to fill your credentials.
However, I'm not seeing the "Passwords" prompt appear above the keyboard when using a third-party browser like Brave. Can you tell me if you're using a third-party browser and if you're able to fill your login when using Safari? 🙂

So it looks like Safari works. However, Chrome is not working.

Thanks for the confirmation. Since AutoFill is handled by iOS there isn't anything that 1Password can do here if the field isn't being detected by iOS in Chrome. I recommend reporting the issue to the Ring.com support team so that they can investigate why their website isn't working with iOS AutoFill in Chrome.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Could it be a conflict between Google passwords and one password?

Hi @pathfinder76 - As Dave mentioned, it's iOS Password AutoFill that is responsible for identifying the fields to be filled and for doing the actual filling in Chrome on your iOS device. 1Password only provides the data for iOS to autofill.
I've done some testing on the Ring website in Chrome on iOS and I can see that iOS Password AutoFill is not offering to fill the
Email
field. If I enter my email address manually and then tap thePassword
field when it appears, iOS Password AutoFill does offer to fill my password.I'm afraid that there isn't anything 1Password can do about this, you'll need to enter your email address to reveal the
Password
field before you can autofill your password. If you like, you can set a text replacement shortcut in iOS for your email address, using the Apple support guide linked below. As an example, I have mine set up so typing
@@
fills my home email address, while typing@@@
fills my secondary email address:☞ Save keystrokes with text replacements on iPhone – Apple Support
As Dave mentioned, Ring themselves would be in the best position to investigate why iOS Password AutoFill isn't recognising the username field as fillable.
