I have 1Password twice on my Mac !

Good morning.
I'm encountering a difficulty that I would like to be able to resolve.
In my Mac (Mac OS 14.5), I have 2 applications of 1Password: version 1Pasword 7 (7.9.11) and version 1 Pasword (8.10.32).
Still, I think when it came time to transition the versions, back then, everything went smoothly.
So now I am unable to destroy 1Pasword 7 version.
How can I proceed please?
Thank you for your help 😉

  • Thank you very much Dave, thanks to you the problem is finally solved.

  • Hello Gilles3131! 👋

I'm sorry that there are two different versions of 1Password on your Mac. If you see all of your items in 1Password 8 (stop here and let me know if you don't) then you can remove 1Password 7 by following these steps:

    1. Quit all open web browsers.
    2. Right click on any 1Password icons that you see in your menu bar at the top of your screen and click Quit for 1Password 8 and Quit 1Password Completely for 1Password 7.
    3. Open the Applications folder on your Mac.
    4. Drag "1Password 7" to the trash. Leave "1Password" where it is. If you see "1Password for Safari" then you can leave that where it is as well. Empty your trash.
    5. Restart your Mac.

Let me know if you run into any issues.
