1Password sending username to inappropriate field

I use 1Password to log in to a website that has both a Company ID field and a User ID field. 1Password should NOT send my username to the Company ID field. It used to send the username only to the User ID field, and left the Company ID field alone (which is proper behavior). It just recently started sending it to both fields.

  • Hello @silverleining, thank you for reaching out. I'm sorry for the trouble you're running into with 1Password in the browser.

    Would you be able to provide the URL of the website? I'd like to test this on my end so that I can better understand the situation.

    If you don't want to post the URL in the public forum, then you can send the URL to support+forum@1Password.com and include a link to this thread. After emailing in, you'll receive a reply from BitBot, our friendly robot assistant with a Support ID that looks something like [#ABC-12345-678]. Post that here, and I'll be able to locate your email.

    I look forward to your reply.

    Thanks for replying Evon. The URL is https://www.openair.com/index.pl

  • Hello @silverleining, thank you for getting back to me.

    I did some testing on my end, and the username field only filled the User ID field. Are there multiple fields saved in your Login item?

    I'd suggest creating a new Login item and checking if the behaviour improves.

    1. Go to the website -> https://www.openair.com/index.pl
    2. Type in your Company ID, User ID and password manually - don't click Log in.
    3. Right-click the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar.
    4. Select 'Save > Login' and save it as a New Item.
    5. Refresh the webpage.
    6. Click on the User ID field and select the new login you just created.

    Let me know how that goes.
