Change an app icon from clipboard

Hey!

Ever since 1Password 8 was released for Windows, I have been longing for a feature that existed in earlier versions of 1Password but that was removed for a reason or another.

That is being able to change an app icon directly from an image on your clipboard.

This made it tenfold easier to create custom icons for apps, saving the hassle of saving a file to a specific location, then navigating to the correct location and file for each entry you wanted to change an app icon for. It's just much easier to paste it from your clipboard.

Some people might use an image search to find app icons, which saves them a couple of extra steps too when using 1Password.

Looking forward to this being implemented shortly. I first requested this shortly after 1Password 8's release so it's been a long wait. :)

  • Hello @ForgottenPasswords! 👋

Thank you for the feedback! While I can't make any promises, I've let the team know that you'd still like to see the ability to add a custom icon from an image in your clipboard be added to 1Password for Windows. 🙂
