Firefox - Direct download option for extension?

Good Afternoon,

I was wondering, in light of the Firefox extension getting stuck in the review process quite often, is there possibly an option that 1password's own site could give us a direct xpi link a bit like the BETA version?

I understand that the best route would be through Firefox Addon page would be the best, but we are often ending up 1-3 months behind, depending on what happens with Firefox and when they decide to update the addon page.

With Manifest v2 possibly ending soon, there is likely to a bit more of a spike to Firefox, however as of writing, we can only get up to 2.24.2 (which was almost 7 days delayed over actual release date), there is no route to be able to run 2.25.0, meaning by using Firefox, I simply cannot access the latest version.

Most of the updates might not be critical, but if there was a key bug, I would be potentially exposed until Firefox Addons decides to allow the addon through.

    Hello @TataruTaru! 👋

Thanks for reaching out. The latest stable version of 1Password in the browser is 2.24.2 and it's available on the Mozilla Add-ons store: 1Password: Password Manager – Get this Extension for 🦊 Firefox (en-CA)

2.25.0 is the current beta version of 1Password in the browser and it isn't available just yet for Firefox. Can you clarify if you're referring to the stable or beta version?

Ah, I realised my error after you posted. I had opened Release Notes, but as you pointed out, after rechecking, I got there from the BETA extension, I had thought I got there from Stable.

    Apologies, I was incorrect.

  • No worries, I'm happy to help! 🙂
