I can't import my Bitwarden data, I had to change from Agron to KDF, but still get the following error
"Unsupported Bitwarden export. Make sure that your export file is JSON encrypted with a password."

  • Thank you for the assist, @MrC. 🙂

    @Chura, I'm sorry about the problem you're running into with importing data from Bitwarden. Our development team is working on resolving this issue in a future update. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. I've added you as an affected user to our internal reporting.

    In the meantime, I'd suggest finding fields in your Bitwarden items where the values are null and removing them. Then, import to 1Password again.

    I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

    I apologize for the misunderstanding @Chura. If there are any null fields in the Bitwarden vault, remove them before exporting the JSON file. After that, import the new JSON file to 1Password.

    I hope that helps. Let me know how that goes.

    Hi @EvonG1P. I'm affected by the same issue and have hundreds of passwords in my vault. Too many to go through to find null values. Is there a release date for the updated version? This hurdle is a show stopper and I'm unable to use the product. Thanks!

    I'm sorry for the trouble @wretiii. At this stage, I don't have an update to share when an update will be released. I've added you as an affected user to the known issue.

    I understand this is not ideal, but in the meantime, you could export/import using CSV instead.

    @wretiii @Chura

    You can also use the bitwarden converter in the converter suite to import an unencrypted JSON export.

    @Chura the import of the encrypted .json file from Bitwarden to 1Password now works for me without having to use the third-party converter tool mentioned. Hopefully, it does for you as well.

  • Thanks for letting us know the import is working better for you.
