1Password 8 will not forget my account
I want 1Password for Mac 8.10.34 (81034040) to forget my account such that I'd have to enter my secret key again. I followed all the instructions listed under https://support.1password.com/uninstall-1password/ but after reinstalling 1Password it still shows "Sign In" with my account, not requiring the secret key. I've also tried the "Reset 1Password" in the advanced tab of the settings. Still no luck.
I generated the diagnostic data, which had an overview of accounts: 0. The logs mentioned "/Users/$USER/Library/Group Containers/2BUA8C4S2C.com.1password" which I rm -rf'd out of existence, but it still came back.
Any ideas?

Turns out it was saved in the keychain under "com.agilebits.onepassword.b5Credentials".
Please add one of your uninstall steps for mac to look in the keychain! Thanks,

Hi there @jgawrych
You're quite right that you can remove that Keychain item, although you can also right-click a "found" 1Password account on the Sign In screen and click "Remove Account from List", like this:
This means you can remove it without having to leave 1Password or open a system utility.
I'll mention this to our Docs team to see if we can have the 1Password Support website updated, perhaps on the Sign out of 1Password or How to add another 1Password account to the apps and browser extension articles. :)

Wow it was that easy the whole time? Now I feel silly :)
Thanks for letting me know!

I am still having an issue after doing what @GreyM1P mentioned. I clicked "remove account from list", but when I close and re-open 1password app again it still shows up. And simply entering my password (without a secret key logs me in).
This is on a company device and I'd like to remove my personal credentials so that if I return it, it will not persist.

I'm sorry that the steps provided above aren't working. Try these manual steps:
- On the Mac, launch the "Keychain Access" utility that comes with macOS. If you see a prompt asking you to manage your passwords in System Settings, click “Open Keychain Access”.
- In the search box in the upper-right corner of the app, search for "com.agilebits.onepassword.b5" (without the quote marks)
- Each search result you see is one account's details that are stored in iCloud Keychain
- Double-click on the entry you want to examine
- Tick the "Show password" box at the bottom of the Attributes tab, and enter your macOS user password when prompted
- The contents of the box will show the stored account details - you can click into the box and use the up and down keys on your keyboard to see all of the details
- When you have identified the entry that relates to the specific membership you no longer want to have recorded in iCloud Keychain, delete that one com.agilebits.onepassword.b5Credentials entry
Let me know how that goes.

Does your company allow you to wipe the Mac before you return it? That would be the best way to ensure that none of your personal information is left on the device. Apple has a guide here: What to do before you sell, give away, trade in, or recycle your Mac - Apple Support (CA)
