edited July 8 in 1Password in the Browser

Recently, 1password has started clicking on the "register" CTA when attempting to login as a Member. Follow the redirect from https://health.aetna.com/login? and use 1password browser extension to authenticate. Instead of taking you through the login, it appears that the extension is clicking the Register button that is further below.

1Password Version: 1Password for Mac 8.10.34 (81034040)
Extension Version: 1Password browser extension version 2.25.1
OS Version: macOS 14.5 (23F79)
Browser: Chrome & Safari

  • Hi @russell, thanks for reaching out!

I've taken a look and can confirm that you're encountering a known issue with auto-submit when used on the Aetna website. I've shared your experience with our development team while they look into the matter, and I apologize for any inconvenience. While I'm unable to provide an exact timeline for a fix, once there is one, it will be listed in our release notes.

As a workaround in the meantime, you can disable the auto-submit feature in the 1Password extension's settings using the following steps:

    1. Right-click the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar, then select "Settings".
    2. Click Autofill & save in the side panel.
    3. Toggle off the "Sign in automatically after autofill" setting.

If you'd prefer to continue using the auto-submit feature, then I'd suggest using the drag and drop method or copy and paste to fill your credentials on this page.

I'll be moving this thread to the 1Password in the browser discussion section since it relates to the behaviour set within the 1Password extension's settings. This should help other other users encountering the same trouble have an easier time finding these details.

Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with!

Thanks, David. Might be a nice feature to have to disable per site rather than globally. Will use your drag drop workaround for now

    Thanks
