Problems have mounted up

I use 1Pwd on the Mac and Iphone.
1) It does not automatically work on my iPhone. I have to leave the site, open 1pwd, and it will then sometimes populate.
2) It does not recognize my fingerprint on the mac as it once did.
3) It requires I use the password EVERY time I use it on the mac. I get a message that I need to use it every other week. (I understand, but it asks me every other minute)
4) On many new sites, it will not suggest a password. I create one in another program and use it. At the end, instead of saving) the id/pwd, it suggests a new Pwd.
5) On 25% of the sites, it will not populate my log on information.
6) It will not automatically fill in information such as my name, address, and phone which have to do multiple times a day.l
7) When I have to change my password on a site, it rarely recognizes I'm updating it. I have to edit the record by manually making the change. I have no record of the old pwd or the date I changed it.
8) Today on my Mac, it would not open on the browser extension. It said something about needing to Authenticate. I clicked on it and it just closed. I tried on the app and got the same error but it opened.

Right now, 1Password is a locked spreadsheet. I have to make changes manually, and copy and paste from it to websites.

1Password Version: 8.10.36
Extension Version: 2.25.1
OS Version: MacOs 14.5
Browser: firefox

  • Hi there @senioruserfriendly

Sounds like 1Password isn't set up for autofill on your iPhone. Here's what to do:

    1. Open the Settings app.
    2. Tap Passwords > Password Options.
    3. Make sure that:
    • "AutoFill Passwords and Passkeys" is turned on
    • 1Password is checked in both sections
    • all others, especially “iCloud Passwords & Keychain", are unchecked.

As for your other issues, they mostly relate to autofilling using the 1Password browser extension, so it'll be best if we help you with them by email. Send us an email at support+forum@1password.com and you'll receive an auto-reply from 🤖 BitBot. It will contain a conversation number, which looks like [#ABC-12345-123] – post that here and I'll be able to make sure your message goes to the right team. I look forward to hearing from you. :)
