Autofill options - what do they mean?
I’m trying to update my 1Password due to some long-standing annoyances, but some of the options are not clear to me.
The first one is “offer to fill and save passwords”. I want to fill them but I don’t want to save them. Whenever I set up new logins I add them manually to 1Password. But it constantly offers to save passwords for logins that are already in 1Password. How do I stop this without turning off autofill?
The other is “offer to save items in autofill suggestions”. I’m not sure what this refers to. If I’m autofilling I’m having 1Password work out the login and suggest logins to use for that page. I’m not aware, again, of needing to save anything at that point.
If someone can explain these to me please and how to stop it constantly wanting to save new logins when all I am doing is signing into existing logins, I’d be most grateful.
Thanks

Hello, @alexmidd. Thank you for the question!
The Offer to fill and save passwords option in the 1Password extension settings toggles any option for offering Autofill and save below a field, Autosubmit, and Autosave.
The Offer to save items in autofill suggestions option turns off the Save in 1Password button in the Inline menu below a field.
May I ask if you're getting the Autosave pop-up? Which is the Offer to save logins option. Here's a screenshot for reference:
I look forward to your reply.

Hi, thanks for your reply and sorry for the delay getting back. I hadn't realised there had been a reply as I did not get notified of one.
The popup that I get is like the one below.
However, I have changed the settings as advised and, so far, the popup has no longer appeared. I think the issue here is that I was not aware of the separate settings for the extension as opposed to those for the app itself and they are also quite hard to find, especially on Safari - probably more Apple's fault that 1Password's.
