Feature request: Show the next 2FA code aswell
More and more (as 2FA is rolling out on more website) I stumble across the following scenario:
I need a 2FA code and want to copy it from inside the 1Password app. When I open the item i see that the 2FA is about to expire in for example 5 seconds. Normally I need to wait now until it refresh to copy it and then paste.
For me would be useful to see already the next 2FA code and copy this instead.

Hello @BKrnk! 👋
Thank you for the suggestion! I'd like to learn more about the scenarios where the one-time password is expiring before you're able to use it. Are you filling the one-time password into a website open in Safari? Or into a different iOS app?
If you're filling into a website in Safari then 1Password for Safari can fill the one-time password for you: Get to know 1Password for Safari on your iPhone or iPad
And if you're signing into another app then you can have 1Password automatically copy the one-time password to your clipboard when you fill the username and password:
- Open and unlock 1Password 8.
- Tap the icon for your account or collection at the top left and choose Settings.
- Tap AutoFill.
- Turn on "Copy One-Time Passwords".
- Go back to Settings.
- Tap Notifications.
- Turn on "One-Time Passwords".
Then fill a username/password into the app again. You should see a notification that 1Password has copied the one-time password to your clipboard. You can then paste the one-time password into the app.
Let me know if either of those won't work for you.

Hello @Dave_1P - thank you for answering.
I need to fill the 2FA in another app - for example PayPal.The Safari extension works in most of the cases fine. Just on websites like aliexpress the developer of the website broke the input field (I guess) and inserting a code result into all numbers goes into the first field and the rest stays empty BUT this is not a problem of 1P. :)

Thanks for the reply. Are you able to paste your 2FA one-time password into the PayPal app after trying the steps in my previous reply?

I don't have an Aliexpress account and would like to learn more about the situation. Are you pasting the one-time password into the Aliexpress website when this issue occurs? Or filling it using 1Password for Safari?

@Dave_1P - jep. Pasting the code into the PayPal App is working fine.
I use the Aliexpress App. The app prompts you with an field where you need to paste the code - but the app is really bad designed. Mean you select the first input field and paste the 2FA. And guess what - all digits lands in the first field. Just bad app design from them. 😅

Thanks for clarifying. The issue with the Aliexpress app would indeed need to be addressed by their development team since 1Password isn't involved with the paste operation. I recommend reporting it to them and hopefully they can fix it in a future update.
Let me know if there's anything else that I can help you with. 🙂
