I can open 1Password app and select a website I want to visit. When I get to the website and try to sign-in it shows the 1Password icon is locked even though I opened the 1Password app from my Home Screen. I have to click on the 1Password icon in the Safari browser and sign-in again to unlock the icon and autofill the sign-in. Is this correct or am I doing something wrong . It seems once I sign-in the second time I can go to any saved website and sign-in using autofill.

  • Hello @CAWwindy1! 👋

Thank you for reaching out. 1Password for Safari on iOS has it's own reauthorization timer that you can set by following these steps:

    1. Open and unlock the main 1Password for iOS app.
    2. Tap the icon for your account or collection at the top left and choose Settings. (If you’re using an iPad, tap your account or collection at the top of the sidebar.)
    3. Tap Safari Extension.
    4. Set "Reauthorize After" to the appropriate option.

Let me know if that doesn't help. 🙂

I reset the authorization to 1 day. I had it set to 15 minutes. I will let you know how that works. I seem to have developed another problem today. I open 1 Password app, go to a website & try to sign in first thing of the day and the 1 Password icon is locked. When I go to the safari browser to open 1Password extension it will not open. I noticed the icon is smaller than normal
. I have to delete the 1Password app and reinstall it and then go through everything again and the browser 1 Password extension will open and allow me to sign- In .After reloading the 1 Password app the icon in the browser is larger.

It works for the rest of the day but I start the next day with the same problem.

We recently released a new update to 1Password for Safari on iOS where we're fixed an issue where you’d have to turn the extension off and on again. If you haven't updated yet then follow the steps in this guide:

If you still have trouble using 1Password for Safari after updating to version 8.10.44 then please let me know.
