The Save login dialog pops up in my browser when I am not logging in

There is a certain web app that I have to use all day at work and for some reason 1Password is incorrectly assuming that many pages within this app are login screens. I get the Save login dialog box when I am going from one page to another even though there are no username or password fields on the page.

There is an ID field on many screens because the system is a student information system that requires an ID to load many screens.

I want to note that I never had this problem until recently.

Thanks,
Frank

It doesn't look like the team is aware of this issue yet. So that we can get this fixed, could you please send the page structure of the webpage in question to our support team? Follow these steps:

    1. Open the website in question until you can see the save dialog that you're referring to.
    2. Right-click on the page and click "1Password - Password Manager" > Help > Collect Page Structure.

Attach the resulting JSON file to an email message addressed to support+forum@1password.com.

    With your email please include:

I am unable to provide the website URL. It is a password-protected work application and the URL is our instance of the application. The product is Ellucian Banner.

  • Hello frankly! 👋

I'm sorry that 1Password is incorrectly offering to save a login. Are you able to provide the website address of the affected website so that I can check to see if this is already a known issue that the team is aware of?

For the time being, you can turn off 1Password on a certain website until the next time that you restart your browser by right-clicking on the page and clicking 1Password - Password Manager > Hide on this page.

I look forward to hearing from you.
